Dr. Edmund Torkelson

Dr. Torkelson is from Seattle, Washington. He attended the University of Washington for his undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) and went on to medical school in Pomona California (College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific) where he graduated with the degree of Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.--see link to the American Osteopathic Association). He then fulfilled a one year rotating internship at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton, OH before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. After his residency he stayed at St. Vincent as the Chief Resident/Junior Faculty for 1 year. He has been in private solo practice in Portland/Beaverton, Oregon since 1996 to present. He is on medical staff at Providence St. Vincent Hospital. He is board certified (American Board of Internal Medicine) in the speciality of Internal Medicine. He lives in Aloha, Oregon with his wife, Ann and their two children, Abigail and Jonathan. Dr. Torkelson has been to Haiti 3 times with medical missions team and looks forward to more of these trips in the future.

 

Ann Torkelson, RN

Ann Torkelson is our Practice Manager as well as office nurse. She is often who you speak with on the telephone with more complex medical issues and advice. She is also skilled at the complexities of billing and insurance as well as obtaining prior authorizations for procedures for our practice. She received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and has been in practice since 1987.
